With no set walls and no set geographic boundaries, Kamehameha Schools Extension Educational students experience robust regional programs that begin in grade 5 and continue through college.  Extension students are propelled through a 12+ year educational track with three major program themes: 

1. Explorations,
   
2. Kamehameha Scholars,
   
3. and College and Post-High Counseling.  

To extend the reach of Kamehameha Schools through quality educational programs that build capacity, foster well-being, and promote the overall quality of life in and among Hawaiian communities.

Our communities are thriving with healthy, highly skilled, and well-educated people of Hawaiian ancestry who are:

•     intellectually, emotionally, and socially self-reliant

•     resourceful, resilient, life long learners

•     equipped with the skills needed to succeed

Objectives:

• To increase literacy skills and reading achievement

• To increase access and the utilization of instructional and enriching educational opportunities

• To cultivate, nurture, perpetuate and promote the practice of ‘Ike Hawai‘I in Hawaiian families, schools and communities

• To enhance and enrich knowledge and skills to increase student success

• To increase the numbers of people of Hawaiian ancestry in post-high institutions or in career/vocational training programs
